Mother’s Day series – Bella

Today you get to meet Bella and her babies: Hercules and Avery. Bella was found as a stray cat and it is clear that she used to belong to someone. Cats like Bella are the reason we recommend microchipping your pets. Is Bella the cat for you? Read her story below.
“Hi, my name is Bella. I’m a very friendly and social kitty! I used to live inside with humans but somehow I ended up outside and pregnant. I gave birth to my babies under a tractor. Some humans found me and noticed that my babies were tangled up in some wire! They unwrapped them and contacted Homeward Bound WV. The next thing I know, I was brought to my new home with my foster mom. I am a very young kitty and I had no idea how to care for my babies. She showed my how to feed and clean them until I could do it myself. My baby Hercules lost part of his leg from being wrapped in the wire, and my foster mom helped to keep it clean and now it’s finally healed! Both of my babies are now fat, happy, and healthy, and we will all be looking for our forever homes soon!”
All of our cats and kittens are examined by a veterinarian, Feline Leukemia/FIV tested, vaccinated for Rabies and FVRCPP, dewormed for internal parasites, checked for external parasites, current on heartworm prevention/flea control and have been spayed/neutered.
If you interested in Bella or any of her kittens, fill out the adoption application here >> http://www.homewardboundwv.org or send us an email at adopt@homewardboundwv.org for more information.
