World Spay Day is an important day to get the word out about the importance of spaying and neutering your pets, strays, and ferals. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem and we see thousands euthanized in local shelters annually.
In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted litters, Homeward Bound WV is very proud to announce that we are again a recipient of a Peterman Grant Award for 2019. This grant allows us to provide free spay/neuter vouchers to income qualified families with pets in need in Monongalia, Preston and surrounding counties. Last year we issued 155 vouchers to West Virginia families. If you’re in need of spaying or neutering a pet and would like to apply for a voucher, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to the Peterman Foundation for supporting Homeward Bound WV in our effort to provide spay/neuter assistance to West Virginians!
The Peterman Foundation provides grants to many local animal rescue organizations for the purpose of providing free spay and neuter vouchers to the public. If you’re in need of getting a pet fixed, helping a stray, or controlling a feral colony, please contact one of these organizations to see if you qualify to receive a spay/neuter voucher. We can all do our part to help control pet overpopulation and save animals from euthanasia.
